Chainmail Freddie- Colour

Chainmail- I've always loved this shot, but I've never seen it in colour (or very hi-res for that matter) so I've 'bodged' a colour version..

                                   70's Classic, gave it a purple theme to coincide with

                                                        Live At The Rainbow 74'

                                               Got rid of background distractions...

First attempts..

This is the Original, as you can see, nice compositon, but Freddie's blinked and the only copy I can find is a monotone print:

 

                                              Opened the eyes (Look up to the skies?)

                                 Then tinted the whole thing 'sepia' to add an overall 'warmth'

Isolated the shirt and a couple of other areas such as the champagne glass..and tinted them separately:

Well, I've finally figured out how to colour (Colourise?) black and white photographs using 'canonscan' software rather than 'photoshop'. I Need to refine the technique to stop them looking like old Victorian photographs that have been hand tinited. Though, not bad for a first attempt if I say so myself.
